National Moot Court Competition on Economic Security

The School of National Security and Law at RRU is excited to reveal the upcoming National Moot Court Competition. This special event is set to happen from August 23rd to August 25th, 2023, focusing on India’s Economic & Financial Security. The competition is a chance for 40 teams, with over 120 students from different Indian institutions, to display their legal knowledge and debating skills.

In this competition, law students get to act like lawyers in pretend court. They present arguments and talk about tricky legal problems. This contest is a unique way for students to practice and get better at thinking critically and arguing their points.

A cool thing about the event is that more than half of the participants, around 65 students, are girls. This shows that more and more women are joining the field of law. The School of National Security and Law at RRU really wants to make sure everyone has a chance, no matter their gender, and this event proves that.

Judges who know a lot about the law and professionals who work in law will decide how well the students do. They will look at how much the students know about the law, how they talk, and how well they convince others with their arguments.

Here are the prizes students can win:

  1. Winner: Rs. 51,000 cash prize
  2. Runner-up: Rs. 31,000 cash prize
  3. Best Speaker, Researcher, and Best Memorial: Rs. 10,000 cash prize for each

Dr Dimpal Raval, an important teacher at the school, said, “We’re very excited to organize this competition at the School of National Security & Law. It’s not just about showing off legal skills. It’s also about having fun and making friends. We can’t wait to see how good these young law students are!”

Prof. (Dr.) Bimal N. Patel, who is like the boss of the school, added, “I’m happy to share that this event connects with the big G20 Summit that India will soon host. Stopping financial fraud is a big deal around the world. It’s important for a country’s safety. So, it’s cool that this competition talks about India’s money safety and helps make good ideas for new rules.”
