Community Event in Ahmedabad Promotes Sustainable Development Goals
Ahmedabad, December 19, 2023 — The city of Ahmedabad is gearing up for a vibrant and impactful event – “NINAD – THE RUN 2023,” organized by Lalji Mehrotra Lions (LML) School in collaboration with the Lions Club of Karnavati (LCK). This community-driven initiative combines a lively run with a carnival atmosphere, aiming to raise awareness about the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Unique Blend of Fun and Purpose
NINAD – THE RUN aligns with Lionism, symbolizing service and community impact that directly supports several SDGs. The event, scheduled for December 24, 2023, is not just a run but a collective stride toward a brighter future. The Lions Club’s dedication to health, education, and community development reflects a commitment to a sustainable and better world.
A Day of Activities and Awareness
The event kicks off at 7:00 am with a lively Zumba and warm-up session, followed by run or walk categories of 5Km, 2.5 Km, and 1.5 Km. Participants will gather at Lalji Mehrotra Lions School for an immersive experience between 8:30 to 9:00 am. The President of LCK, Mr. Hardik Soni, invites Lion Members to join in large numbers and be part of this impactful campaign.
Beyond the Run – Post-Run Festivities
Post-run, the festivities continue with an SDGs exhibition and captivating performances reflecting the spirit of Sustainable Development Goals at 8:30 am. Participants can enjoy a nutritious feast and explore the SDGs awareness exhibition, immersing themselves in the essence of community and global impact.
Carnival-Like Atmosphere
The carnival-like atmosphere persists with delightful games like Pick and Flip, Glass Castle, and Emoji Da Adda, fostering community bonding and laughter. The culinary experience includes Fusion Kurmura, Green Chunks, Butter Kernels, Poshtik Poha, Garam GaramKhichu, Taste of South, MethiDhebra, Sprout Chaat, and Daliya, along with thirst-quenching options like Tea, Coffee, Lemonade, Vegetable Soup, and Fada Lapsi.
Grand Surprises Await
The event concludes with grand surprises, including Certificate Distribution and Lucky Draws starting at 10:30 am. This adds an exciting element to an already impactful day.
