On Amazon Prime Video, Sidharth Malhotra will now be a member of Rohit Shetty’s cop universe. The ‘Shershaah’ actor announced the news on his own Instagram account.
“Rohit Shetty’s cop universe goes digital tomorrow at 11 am,” he posted on Instagram, sharing the first peek with fans.
Something significant appears to be happening at 11 a.m. on Wednesday?
The ‘Hero’ heart emoji was written by Karan Johar, who gave Sidharth his first break with ‘The Student Of The Year.’ “Congrats friend!!!” said director Milap Zaveri, while Sidharth’s ‘Yodhaa’ co-star also responded with a fire emoji. Aa Raha hai, cops! You’re on the lookout for dhamaakedaar.
Fans were waiting with anticipation of what the new cop-based sitcom would provide as soon as Sidharth broke the news in the comments area.
“Ala re Ala @sidmalhotra,” one fan said in response to the collaboration, while another fan remarked, “Damn psyched for this one Sid.”
Rohit Shetty also announced the news on his own Instagram account. He penned, “Tomorrow at 11:00 a.m., the action begins! @primevideoin @sidmalhotra #NowFilming “.. Anupam Kher wished Shetty luck, and Bhumi Pednekar reacted to the news with a fire emoji. “Kya baat,” tweeted Ranveer Singh, who previously worked with Shetty in Simmba.
‘Shershaah,’ Sidharth’s most recent picture, was well-received on all levels. During the Kargil War, he played Captain Vikram Batra. ‘Shershaah,’ a biological war thriller, has garnered a lot of positive feedback and is now rated 8.7 on IMDb.
Sidharth, on the other hand, is working on a number of other projects, including ‘Thank God,’ ‘Yodha,’ and ‘Mission Majnu.’
Sushwanth Prakash, who has collaborated with Rohit Shetty in films like ‘Simmba’ and ‘Dilwale,’ will make his directorial debut with the Amazon cop series.
