In a spectacular showdown marking the final game of the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) Season 10’s opening leg, the Patna Pirates delivered a stunning performance, halting the Gujarat Giants’ unstoppable run in a heart-pounding clash. The Pirates emerged victorious with a 33-30 win, captivating fans with their panache and power.

Early Dominance:

The game kicked off with Sachin and Rohit Gulia showcasing their raiding prowess for the Patna Pirates and Gujarat Giants, respectively. The former champions quickly surged ahead, establishing a 3-point lead within the opening three minutes. The Pirates displayed dominance, with each player contributing against the home team’s defense.

Giants Fight Back:

As the first half unfolded, the well-drilled Gujarat Giants began to mount a comeback. The exchanges remained intense, and with less than 8 minutes left in the half, the scores were level at 9-9. Sourav Gulia and Rakesh led the charge for the Giants, while Sudhakar M took up the mantle for the Patna Pirates, resulting in a 12-12 tie at halftime.

Despite the Giants’ struggles, Rakesh and Sombir, inspired by the leadership of Fazel Atrachali, sought a comeback. Another ALL-OUT in favor of the Patna Pirates pushed their lead to 14 points with under 9 minutes to go. However, Rakesh’s Super 10 and a spirited late charge by the Giants reduced the lead to two points with just two minutes remaining.

Pirates Triumph:

In the end, Rakesh’s heroics were not enough, as the Patna Pirates held on to secure a thrilling victory. The Giants, despite a late ALL OUT, fell short, and the Pirates walked off the mat with full points, ending the match with a 33-30 triumph.
