In a gripping Kabaddi match at the EKA Arena in Ahmedabad on Monday, Puneri Paltan, led by Aslam Inamdar in his captaincy debut, delivered a sensational performance to upset the defending champions Jaipur Pink Panthers with a final score of 37-33.

Puneri Paltan started strong, taking a 6-3 lead, with Iranian all-rounder Mohammadreza Shadloui Chiyaneh making a notable contribution by trapping Ajith Kumar in the sixth minute.
Jaipur Pink Panthers’ Fightback:
Despite Puneri Paltan’s early lead, Jaipur Pink Panthers clawed their way back into the game. Arjun Deshwal, with 17 points, proved to be a constant threat. Ajith Kumar’s pivotal raid in the 14th minute resulted in an ALL-OUT, giving the Panthers a comfortable 14-10 lead.

Arjun continued to dominate, securing points in each of his next three raids, ensuring the Panthers maintained a four-point lead at halftime.

In the second half, Puneri Paltan, led by Aslam Inamdar’s two-point raid and Shadloui’s solid defensive play, managed to ALL OUT the Panthers. With 25 minutes played, they narrowed the deficit to two points at 21-23.

Aslam’s impressive raids, along with a crucial tackle from Sanket Sawant, brought Puneri Paltan level at 25-25 in the 30th minute. The team then seized control, securing another ALL OUT and establishing a six-point lead with five minutes remaining.
