On Sunday, unidentified intruders shot and killed Sidhu Moosewala in Punjab’s Mansa district.
Officials claimed five individuals were held by the Punjab Police on Monday in connection with the murder of Punjabi musician Sidhu Moosewala the day before.
They were apprehended in the Shimla bypass area and transported to Punjab for questioning, according to a police official who spoke on the condition of anonymity.
Unidentified assassins shot and killed Moosewala on Sunday in Punjab’s Mansa district, a day after the state government revoked his security cover.
The five people were apprehended on suspicion of being involved in the case, according to the official.
According to the official, the five guys were returning from Hemkund Sahib, a Himalayan Sikh shrine in Uttarakhand’s Chamoli district.
The Punjab Police will now investigate their role in the singer’s death, according to the official.
