In a heartwarming meeting, popular Tamil actor Rajinikanth and Samajwadi Party Chief Akhilesh Yadav caught up in Lucknow. Rajinikanth happily shared that he and Yadav have been friends for almost a decade, ever since they first met at an event in Mumbai. They’ve kept in touch over the years, talking on the phone and sharing their stories.
Akhilesh Yadav also posted a photo of their meeting, mentioning that he’s still as excited to see Rajinikanth as he was during his engineering studies. The two friends met face-to-face nine years ago and have been close ever since.
During his visit to Lucknow, Rajinikanth also met Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. He had come to the city to show his film ‘Jailer,’ and he was thrilled about the wonderful response it was receiving from the audience.
Before arriving in Lucknow, Rajinikanth was in Ranchi, Jharkhand. There, he explored the Chhinnamasta Temple and spent peaceful time meditating at ‘Yagoda Ashram.’ He even had the chance to meet with Jharkhand Governor C P Radhakrishnan.
Rajinikanth‘s latest film, ‘Jailer,’ which hit theaters on August 10, is making waves at the box office. It’s already collected an impressive Rs 235.65 crore in India by August 17. The movie tells the story of a man seeking revenge for his cop son’s death and features special appearances by Mohanlal, Shivarajkumar, and Jackie Shroff. You can catch the film in different languages like Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi.
