To honour the day of the establishment of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya, the Ram Charitra Manas Charitable Trust has announced the organization of the Ram Charitra Manas Yatra. This 18-day spiritual journey, set to commence on January 08, 2024, from Ahmedabad, Gujarat, will culminate in Ayodhya on January 20, 2024. The trust aims to engage 1008 registered devotees and over 500 volunteers in this divine pilgrimage.

Purpose and Commemoration: The primary objective of this yatra is to commemorate the historic day of the Ram Mandir’s establishment in Ayodhya. The Ram Charitra Manas Charitable Trust sees this initiative as a humanitarian act for societal good, emphasizing the values of religious harmony, trust, and moral exemplification for future generations.

Itinerary and Schedule: The yatra will cover approximately 1400 kilometres, passing through 12 cities, both big and small, with a convoy of 1008 participating devotees. The journey will commence with the hoisting of the ‘dhwaja’ on January 22, 2024, at the Ayodhya temple, followed by a scheduled darshan on January 23, 2024. The devotees will return to Ahmedabad by January 25, 2024.

Given the current health and safety concerns, the Ram Charitra Manas Yatra Charitable Trust assures that proper sanitation and medical precautions will be in place for all participating devotees. Spiritual Practices

Throughout the journey, ‘Ram Naam’ will be chanted, and ‘jaap’ will be conducted by 15 pandits. Ramlila will be visually depicted on specially made trucks, accompanied by bhajans playing in the background. Participants have the freedom to join both virtually and physically.

The grand inauguration in Ahmedabad on January 08, 2024, will include Kalash Yatra, Rath Pooja, Pran Pratishta, Ramayan Sthapana and Pooja, Maha Aarti, and cultural performances. The following day will feature Rath Pooja and Rath Prasthaan.
