Honoring Achievements and Unveiling the Future of National Security
On January 15, 2024, Rashtriya Raksha University (RRU) in Gandhinagar, Gujarat, marked a significant milestone with the inauguration and dedication of crucial National Security and Police Projects to the nation. The event, graced by Gujarat Chief Minister Shri Bhupendrabhai Patel, showcased the collaborative efforts of RRU with government stakeholders and private partners.
The ceremony began with RRU officials presenting ongoing projects related to Artificial Intelligence, Cyber Security, and Disaster Management. Highlights included the launch of three significant books – ‘Shaktidwani,’ ‘365 Days RRU Coffee Table Book,’ and ‘The History of Gujarat Police.’ Notable acknowledgments were made, including a diploma awarded to DIG-NACP, Okha, and the felicitation of RRU Pasighat Campus student Naorem Roshibina Devi for her Arjuna Award in Wushu.
The Chief Minister, Education Minister Shri Rushikesh Patel, and RRU Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Bimal N. Patel laid the foundation stone for the university’s second phase and inaugurated key initiatives such as the Atal Incubation Centre, the National IED Data Management System (NIDMS), and the Raksha Shakti School.
In his address, Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Bhai Patel congratulated armed forces personnel on Indian Army Day, aligning with the vision of “Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat, & Viksit Bharat.“ He emphasized the importance of instilling discipline, patriotism, and values in children for national security. The Chief Minister underscored the role of AI, Robotics, and Cyber Security in safeguarding the nation and commended the Atal Incubation Center’s vital role.
Education Minister Shri Rushikesh Patel focused on India’s journey towards self-reliance, echoing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision. He highlighted the responsibility of youth in achieving Atma Nirbharta and envisioned Gandhinagar as a hub for technology and education in National Security.
RRU Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Bimal N. Patel emphasized the institution’s commitment to innovation, indigenization, and research for the future of India’s safety and security. He stressed the significance of training Raksha Shakti School students and building a world-class infrastructure for security forces.
Pro-VC Dr. Kalpesh Wandra thanked the government for its unwavering support in developing RRU as an Institution of National Importance in policing and internal security.
The presence of esteemed dignitaries underscored the central and state government’s commitment to RRU’s initiative, marking a new chapter in its journey toward excellence in innovation, research, and education in National Security, Defence, and Policing.
