RRU Successfully Trains Nepal Police Officers

Rashtriya Raksha University (RRU) recently celebrated the successful training of Nepal Police officers under the ITEC Training Program. This training program, which covered VIP security and financial fraud investigation, was a significant step in enhancing the friendship between India and Nepal.
The closing ceremony was held on October 20, 2023, at Rashtriya Raksha University. It was attended by important guests, including H.E. Dr. Shankar Prasad Sharma, the Ambassador of Nepal, and Mr. Uma Prasad Chaturvedi, the Counselor of the Embassy of Nepal in India.
The training was split into two parts:
VIP Security Training (Four Weeks)
This training was provided by RRU’s School of Internal Security and Police Administration. It taught the Nepal Police officers how to protect important people and VIPs. The training was thorough and equipped them to handle tough security challenges.
Financial Fraud Investigation (Two Weeks)
This part of the program was led by RRU’s School of Forensics, Risk Management, and National Security. It focused on finding and preventing financial fraud, helping the participants become experts in identifying and stopping financial crimes.
In total, 30 officers from Nepal successfully finished these intensive training programs. Their success showcases the high-quality training offered at Rashtriya Raksha University.
During the closing ceremony, H.E. Dr. Shankar Prasad Sharma delivered a talk on ‘Cultivating Bilateral Ties: Exploring the Dynamics of the India-Nepal Relationship.’ He discussed the historic importance of strong diplomatic ties and emphasized mutual cooperation between the two nations.
The ceremony was a happy event where participants and university staff celebrated the completion of the training programs. It not only marked the end of their training but also the start of a stronger partnership between India and Nepal in the fields of security and law enforcement.
