Rekha, a famous actress, has always done things her way, even when people didn’t agree. She didn’t need anyone’s approval, not even from the people who watched her movies.

A long time ago, Rekha’s husband died by suicide. But instead of supporting her, people blamed her. They called her names like “Black Widow” and “witch.” Even her colleagues in the movie industry didn’t help her. Some said she was a “blot” on the industry and that no director would work with her again. But she proved them wrong.

Rekha always faced challenges. As a child, she acted in movies to help her family. She started when she was just 14. She had to play older roles even though she was young. She faced problems like harassment at work but never complained. She kept working hard.

When she came to Bollywood, it was tough. She was not comfortable with the language, and people were not kind. Some actors made fun of her looks and called her “dark” and “plump.” But she didn’t give up. She took on roles that were different from the typical Bollywood actress and became one of the highest-paid actresses.

In 1976, she did a movie called “Do Anjaane” with Amitabh Bachchan. She worked on her looks and acting skills and showed that she could be a great actress. She played many different roles, from a rape victim to a courtesan, and she did it all with confidence.

Even though she faced criticism and hurtful comments, Rekha didn’t let them bother her. She believed that when you know your worth, you don’t need to be mean to others. Instead, you can be kind.
