Reliance Foundation Offers 5,000 Scholarships for College Students
Mumbai, September 6, 2023: The Reliance Foundation is offering 5,000 scholarships for the academic year 2023-24. These scholarships are for students who are starting their first year of college in India. The last date to apply is October 15, 2023.
Who Can Apply:
Any student who is starting their first year of college can apply. It doesn’t matter what you want to study; all branches of study are welcome.
What You Get:
If you’re selected, you can receive a scholarship worth up to Rs. 2 lakhs. That’s a lot of financial help for your college education. Plus, you’ll become part of a supportive network of alumni.
Why These Scholarships Exist:
The Reliance Foundation believes in the power of young people. They want to make sure that young Indians have access to higher education. In December 2022, on the 90th birth anniversary of Shri Dhirubhai Ambani, the founder of Reliance, Mrs. Nita Ambani announced their commitment to support 50,000 students with scholarships over the next 10 years.
How to Apply:
You’ll be chosen based on your merit (how well you’ve done academically) and your financial needs. They want to make sure you can continue your studies without worrying about money.

Who Can Apply:
Girls and people with disabilities are encouraged to apply. The selection process includes an aptitude test, looking at your Class 12 marks, checking your family’s income, and other criteria.
About Reliance Foundation Scholarships:
Since 1996, Reliance has supported over 18,000 young people through scholarships. More than half of them are women, and almost 2,800 have disabilities. Many of these scholars have gone on to important roles in India and around the world.
Last Year’s Results:
Last year, nearly 1 lakh students showed interest, and 5,000 students were chosen based on eligibility and an aptitude test. Over half of them were women, and 97 scholars had disabilities. These students came from 1,630 different colleges and were studying all kinds of subjects.
