Jio Cinema gives you a crime thriller that is bound to leave viewers shocked and scared. “Pill” is an 8-episode series, each running between 35-50 minutes, marking Riteish Deshmukh’s debut in the web series world. Created by Raj Kumar Gupta and written by Gupta, Parveez Shaikh, Jaideep Yadav, and Anagh Mukherjee, “Pill” will take you on a roller-coaster journey into the underbelly of pharmaceutical corruption in India.

Review of “Pill” Web Series: The Storyline

The series follows Prakash Chauhan, played by Riteish Deshmukh, an employee at the Medicine Authority of India. The story revolves around his battle against a powerful pharmaceutical company that introduces drugs into the market without proper clinical trials. The narrative sheds light on Prakash’s struggle for justice, representing the fight of many like him who strive to do the right thing in a corrupt system. The tale of morality and bravery is both inspiring and relatable, making it a compelling watch. 

The parallel story of Prakash’s personal life is also running showing the relationship with his wife.  

Review of “Pill” Web Series: The Acting

Riteish Deshmukh shines as the protagonist, Prakash Chauhan. His portrayal of an ordinary man with extraordinary determination is both convincing and moving. Deshmukh’s ability to evoke strong emotions in every scene makes his character relatable and aspirational. Pawan Malhotra, as the antagonist Brahma Gill, delivers a powerful performance with his intense and layered portrayal. Supporting actors Akshat Chauhan and Anshul Chauhan, playing Noor and Gursimrit respectively, add depth to the series with their noteworthy performances. The other characters in the Web Series are also playing their role quite well.
