Director Rohit Shetty, known for his laughter-packed Golmaal series, has officially confirmed the making of Golmaal 5. Fans can expect to enjoy the fifth installment within the next two years.

Rohit Shetty’s Grand Plans

In an interview with Pinkvilla, Rohit Shetty expressed his excitement, saying, “Golmaal 5 will happen for sure. I think you will get Golmaal 5 in the next 2 years.” Shetty, committed to making it bigger and better, hinted at grander plans for the beloved comedy franchise.

Scaling Up the Laughter

Shetty emphasized the need for a grander cinematic experience, not necessarily involving more action but amping up the scale in the genre. He stated, “The next Golmaal film has to be bigger and better, though it’s a comedy franchise.” This revelation hints at an exciting and more extravagant Golmaal installment in the making.

Beyond Golmaal – Shetty’s Diverse Vision

While confirming Golmaal 5, Shetty also shared his desire to explore different genres. He mentioned, “Even I feel the need to make a film like Chennai Express. If I crack a story which is good and grand, I will make a fresh film.” This suggests that Rohit Shetty has more diverse projects in mind beyond the Golmaal series.

Golmaal’s excitement, Shetty is making his digital directorial debut with the web series Indian Police Force. Starring Sidharth Malhotra, Shilpa Shetty, and Vivek Oberoi, the series promises action and drama. The seven-episode series, created and directed by Rohit Shetty, is set to premiere on January 19, 2024, on Prime Video.
