Sahara Refund Details

Depositors can register on the “CRCS-Sahara Refund Portal” portal and submit Sahara Group of Cooperative Societies claims to obtain refunds within 45 days.

Tuesday saw the official opening of the “Central Registrar of Cooperative Societies (CRCS)-Sahara Refund Portal” in New Delhi by Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Amit Shah. This action was taken in response to a Supreme Court decision dated March 29 that ordered the transfer of Rs. 5000 Crores from the “Sahara-SEBI Refund Account” to CRCS for the purpose of paying authentic Sahara Group of Cooperative Societies depositors their outstanding debts.

Who qualifies to submit a claim using the CRCS Sahara refund portal?

The first payment of up to Rs. 10,000 will be made to one crore investors who had contributed Rs. 10,000 or more, according to Union Minister Shah, using this platform.

Another petition will be filed in the Supreme Court to restore the money to the remaining investors after the Rs. 5,000 crore payment has been paid, he added.

When are the deadlines for submitting claims through the CRCS Sahara refund portal?

The following depositors of Cooperative Societies of Sahara Group who made their deposits before the specified dates and still owe money for receipts are qualified:

Before March 22, 2022, depositors of the three following societies Sahara Credit Cooperative Society Limited

Limited by Saharayan Universal Multipurpose Society

Limited by the Hamara India Credit Cooperative Society

depositors of the Stars Multipurpose Cooperative Society Limited who made a deposit before March 29, 2023.

What paperwork is needed to apply on the CRCS Sahara refund portal?

The holder of the deposit must

1. The member’s ID
2. Account number for deposits

3. Aadhaar-linked mobile number (required)

4. Passbook or Certificate of Deposit

5. PAN Card (required if the claim is for Rs. 50,000 or more).

On the CRCS Sahara Refund Portal, how do I apply?

Step 1: Refund Portal for CRCS Sahara Open: Click HERE to search https://mocrefund.crcs.gov.in

Enter your 12-digit Membership Number, your last four Aadhaar digits, your 10-digit Aadhaar-linked Mobile Number, and the Captcha to sign up as a depositor. After that, click “Get OTP.”

Step 2: Finish the registration procedure by entering the OTP that was sent to the mobile number associated with your Aadhaar.

Step 3: On the depositor login screen, enter your 10-digit Aadhaar-linked Mobile Number, the Captcha, and the last four digits of your Aadhaar Number. Just click “Get OTP.”

Enter the OTP in step four.

Step 5: After logging in, accept the request from Aadhaar. Accept the terms and conditions on the following page by clicking “I agree.”

Step 6: Type your 12-digit Aadhaar Number on the Personal Details screen and click “Get OTP.” The OTP will be sent to the mobile number associated with your Aadhaar.

Step 7: Type in the OTP and press “Verify OTP.”

Step 8: Your Aadhaar user data, including First Name, Middle Name, Last Name, Date of Birth, and Father/Husband Name, will be displayed when you have confirmed the OTP.

Step 9: You have the option to enter your email address and click “Save Email” before selecting “Next.”

Enter the information shown on the Certificate of Deposit in step 10.

Step 11: To examine all the information in the grid below, click “Submit Claim”. You may add as many claim requests as you like here.

Step 12: The pre-filled claim request form will be created once all the claim information has been entered. Before filling out the form, please make sure all claims are included because changes or additions cannot be made afterward.

Step 13: Attach your most recent photo and sign the claim form next to it.

Step 14: On the “Upload Document” screen, upload the claim form and a copy of your PAN card. (PAN cards are required if the claim is for 50,000 or more)

The claim request form’s maximum file size is 12MB and 50KB. It must be signed and include a photo and PAN card.

Step 15: A thank you page with a claim request number will show up. For future use, be careful to write down the claim request number.

How soon will the reimbursement be deposited?

Within 30 days of the claim submission date, Sahara Society will validate and handle the claim. Next verification, your claim will be processed within the next 15 days by the licenced verifiers and CRCS.

Subject to money availability and verification, the refund will be issued to depositors’ bank accounts within 45 days of their online claims being submitted. They’ll be informed of the status by SMS or a portal.
