The first-day box office revenue for Samrat Prithviraj has been released. Samrat Prithviraj, starring Akshay Kumar, Sanjay Dutt, Sonu Sood, and Manushi Chillar, has a low first-day box office collection. On June 3, 2022, the film was released in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu theatres. Samrat Prithviraj, directed by Dr. Chandraprakash Dwivedi, is based on Prithviraj Raso, a Braj language poetry on Prithviraj Chauhan’s life. Akshay Kumar, whose last film, Bachchan Pandey, was a box office flop, has been out and about promoting the movie. The actor has held special screenings for the country’s who’s who, from Home Minister Amit Shah to RSS chairman Mohan Bhagwat. Despite putting in a lot of effort, it appears like the film will have a difficult time at the box office.

All of Akshay Kumar’s valor couldn’t prevent the picture from tanking at the box office on its first day, as it received a lukewarm response from the audience. On its first day at the box office, Samrat Prithviraj grossed between Rs. 10.30 crore and Rs. 10.80 crore net. While the numbers are respectable for a post-pandemic picture, the Kartik Aaryan-starrer Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 recently grossed over Rs 14 crore at the box office. Not to mention the South flicks that have raked in a 100-million-dollar weekend from the Hindi-speaking audience.

At the box office, Samrat Prithiviraj was up against two films. This Friday also saw the release of Major, starring Adivi Sesh and Saiee Manjrekar, and Vikram – Hitlist, starring Kamal Haasan, Vijay Sethupati, and Fahadh Faasil. In the north belt, however, Samrat Prithviraj did not face any stiff competition from these two films. While the Akshay Kumar starrer’s Day 1 box office performance falls short of predictions, the film is likely to grow over the weekend. The film’s Saturday box office performance will determine its box office fate.
