Spanish Actor Gabriel Guevara Arrested at Venice Film Festival
Spanish actor Gabriel Guevara has been arrested at the Venice Film Festival on charges of sexual assault. The arrest was made due to an international warrant issued against him for a similar alleged incident in France. Although the festival organizers have distanced themselves from the actor, he was in Venice to receive an award called the Filming Italy prize.
The Venice Film Festival organizers clarified that Guevara’s presence at the festival was not related to any official events or productions of the festival itself. The arrest occurred on the Lido, and Guevara is currently in protective custody while awaiting a ruling from the Venice Court of Appeals. The specific details of the charges against him have not been disclosed.
Gabriel Guevara is best known for his role in the Spanish Amazon Prime teen film series “My Fault.” He has also appeared in the Spanish series “How to Screw it All Up” (2022) and “You’re Nothing Special.”
