Swarrnim Startup and Innovation University Hosts Sadvritta’24: A Beacon of Mental Health Awareness

In a praiseworthy attempt to highlight mental health, Swarrnim School of Management and Liberal Arts (SMCLA) held Sadvritta’s 24, an event aimed at shattering the silence on mental well-being. This mental health awareness campaign, which took place on October 15, 2024, at the Swarrnim Startup and Innovation University, Ahmedabad, sought to solve a significant yet sometimes disregarded concern: mental health.

Dealing with Mental Health Stigma

Mental health has traditionally been stigmatised, so many people find it difficult to talk about it freely. This event was meant to flip that story. By encouraging students to share their mental health, Sadvritta’s 24 helped to remove the taboos and barriers often preventing honest communication. By normalising these dialogues, the event aimed to create a campus community more sympathetic and understanding.

Purpose and Involvement

Thirty to thirty-five students from different fields of study within the School of Management and Liberal Arts attended the event These young people joined together with a shared objective: to raise awareness of the need of mental health and highlight its relevance. It was about motivating kids to share their own ideas, emotions, and challenges in a secure environment as much as about listening to professionals.

Sadvritta’s 24 served as more than just a one-day event. It sought to start an ongoing dialogue about mental health. Through increasing awareness and offering the required assistance, the university is moving towards a conducive environment in which mental health is given top priority.

Important Personalities and Coordinators

Some of the most well-known university personalities led the event. Leading this effort was Dr. Sourabhi Chaturvedi, Director of the School of Management and Liberal Arts, and Dr. Shashikant Bhagat, Head of the Department of Liberal Arts, in great part. Their direction guaranteed that the event would have the expected impact.

Along with student coordinators Riya Dodiyar and Riya Jangid, from BBA Semester-3, Ms. Dhanushi Suraana, Assistant Professor, also put great effort into organising the event. Their participation helped to guarantee that the event went without a hitch and that the voices of the students dominated the conversations.

Motivating Talks and Literary Performances

A speech by MBA student Shruti on the value of positive thinking was among the highlights of the evening. Many of the participants related to Shruti’s speech since she underlined how optimism may be a very effective weapon against stress, anxiety, and other mental health issues. Her comments started important conversations and inspired her friends to consider how they treat their own mental health.

Students Rudraraj, Pawan, and Prithviraj presented a riveting drama called “Hidden Struggles” following the conference. The drama opened my eyes to the mental health issues many students encounter on their academic path. From the weight of juggling schoolwork and personal life to the demands of an excessive workload, the drama captured the actual challenges students sometimes keep secret. The drama promoted empathy and understanding among the viewers by means of its outstanding performances.

Creative Visual Presentations

The visual exhibition of posters created by three students—Krishna, Ayushi, and Fanny—had another significant influence on the event. These imaginatively created posters sent strong messages on the need of mental health. Every poster focused on several facets of mental health, urging readers to reflect on their own mental state and how they may help others close by.

Apart from their aesthetic appeal, the posters provoked strong ideas among the viewers. They acted as a reminder that little, daily activities can significantly impact someone’s life and that mental health is not something to be disregarded.

Creating Compassion and Awareness

Sadvritta’s 24 was a movement rather than only a celebration. It worked to raise awareness of mental health issues, empathy, and support for them. The session had an obvious effect: students came away knowing more about mental health and the need of looking after one’s own. The good environment promoted honest communication, therefore removing barriers of uncertainty and anxiety.

Present to provide their support were the faculty members Ms. Sumankumar Vaghela, Dr. Anil Borkar, and Ms. Prutha Borkar. Their presence demonstrated to pupils that they were not alone in their path and strengthened the need of mental health even more.

The popularity of Sadvritta’s 24 has set the stage for more mental health campaigns. The institution intends to follow up with further support and resources for students experiencing mental health concerns. The institution wants to make sure no student feels behind by establishing a setting where mental health is freely shared and given top priority.

Already under planning are future events, seminars, and support groups. These projects will build on the momentum generated by Sadvritta’s 24 to guarantee that mental health consciousness stays a constant feature in campus life.

In conclusion

A huge success, Sadvritta’s 24 represents a major advancement in increasing mental health consciousness at Swarrnim Startup & Innovation University. The event had a significant influence by means of the joint efforts of the faculty, students, and organisers, thereby fostering an attitude of empathy, support, and transparency on mental health. Events like these are obviously vital in creating a compassionate community where everyone’s mental health is appreciated and safeguarded as the institution keeps pushing for mental well-being.
