Newzdaddy Tech updates

In a competition called ‘Mission CHANDRA,’ students from engineering colleges in Gujarat had a chance to show off their space knowledge. The contest was a joint effort by a few organizations, and it had two rounds.

In the first round, more than 80 teams with about 300 students made digital models of spacecraft for a mission called Chandrayaan-3. These are like the vehicles we send to space. Out of all these teams, 11 became winners. They not only got prizes but also a special trip to ISRO, where they could watch a big moment for space.

In the final round, these 11 winning teams had to make real models of the things they showed digitally before. For this, they had a place that looked like the moon at Science City.

The team from Birla Vishwakarma Mahavidyalaya came first with their model of a rover. The second prize went to LDRP College for their model of a launch vehicle, and the third prize was won by students from Nirma University, who also made a rover.

Some important people, like Union Communications Minister Devusinh Chauhan, gave awards to the winning students. The first-place students got Rs 25,000, the second-place students got Rs 20,000, and the third-place students got Rs 15,000. On top of that, the top three students will get to do an internship at ISRO.

This event shows how Gujarat Science City keeps making science fun and exciting for everyone.
