Sumit Binani Takes Over as President of ACAE for 2023-24 Term

Kolkata, 18th September, 2023: Sumit Binani is the new President of the Association of Corporate Advisers & Executives (ACAE), taking over from CA P. D. Rungta for the 2023-24 term. ACAE is a group of about 1600 members, including professionals, businesspeople, and industrialists. It’s been around since 1960 and is known for creating the first corporate awards in partnership with The Economic Times in West Bengal. These awards called the ET Bengal Corporate Awards, have been recognizing corporate achievements in Bengal for six years now.
Sumit Binani’s theme for his time as President is “Igniting UTKARSH,” which means sparking progress, excellence, and positive growth. He will have CA Tarun Gupta and CA Niraj Harodia as Vice Presidents, Adv Ramesh Patodia as General Secretary, Ms. Shivani Shah Agarwalla, a five-time Kettlebell World Champion, as Joint Secretary, and CA Mohit Bhuteria as Treasurer. They will be supported by an active executive committee.
Mr. Sumit Binani, the new President, said, “My main goal as President is to make our Association more visible and well-known while keeping our values intact. We will focus on togetherness and interdependence, working with all our members to strengthen our association. Our aim is to promote continuous development, excellence, innovation, and positive growth.”
