The major features of the Samsung Galaxy S22 series and Galaxy Tab S8 have been leaked online ahead of their official release. The Galaxy S22 series will have three models: the standard Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22 Pro+, and Galaxy S22 Ultra. The Galaxy S22 Ultra is likely to succeed the Galaxy Note series, which was once popular among business users. The Galaxy Tab S8, on the other hand, will be the successor to last year’s Galaxy Tab S7. So far, here’s what we’ve discovered.
The Samsung Galaxy S22 will have a 6.1-inch display, while the Samsung Galaxy S22 Pro+ will have a 6.6-inch display. Both screens have a 1080 x 2340 pixel resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection, however, their peak brightness levels are different. Samsung’s Exynos 2200 chipset or Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC will be used, depending on the market.
The chip would be paired with up to 256GB of internal storage and 8GB of RAM, according to sources. Both phones are expected to have a triple-camera setup on the back, with a 50-megapixel sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS), a 10-megapixel telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens. On the front of the phone is a 10-megapixel selfie camera. On the front, there’s a 4K camera.
Connectivity options are said to include Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, a USB Type-C connection, and Samsung Dex compatibility. The regular Galaxy S22 could have a 3,700mAh battery with 25W fast charging. The Galaxy S22 Pro+ is said to sport a 4,500mAh battery with a 45-minute charge time. Both phones may be able to charge wirelessly at a rate of 15 watts.
The Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra, according to sources, will have the largest display, a 6.8-inch display with 1440 x 3080 pixels resolution, Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection, and a 120Hz maximum refresh rate. Under the hood, we could see the same chipset(s), but with up to 12GB RAM and 512GB storage. The phone is also expected to have a dedicated SPen connector. This feature was previously only available on Galaxy Note phones. The Galaxy S21 also supports the SPen, however, there is no dedicated port for it.
