New Zealand Cricket Schedule this summer

This summer, New Zealand will host South Africa, Australia, Pakistan, and Bangladesh.
In December 2023, Pakistan will be the opponent, and in March and April of the following year, England. India is not part of Kiwi’s schedule this summer for WTC.

According to the fixtures announced by New Zealand Cricket (NZC) for the 2023–24 home season, New Zealand will host Australia for a Test series for the first time in eight years in the upcoming summer, immediately after seeking to record a first Test series triumph over South Africa.

In the latter two weeks of December, New Zealand’s men’s squad faced Bangladesh in three ODIs and three T20Is to open their home season. After an 11-day hiatus, they host Pakistan for five Twenty20 Internationals from January 12 to 21.

Australia then makes its way over for three T20Is and two Tests between February 21 and March 12, followed by South Africa, who will be in town for two Tests between February 4 and February 17.

Aside from hosting Pakistan for three T20Is and three ODIs between December 3 and 18, New Zealand women also play England in five T20Is and three ODIs between March 19 and April 7. At that time, the England women’s A team will also visit New Zealand.

The international summer will be broadcast live and for free on TVNZ for the first time in 24 years.

Ten doubleheaders—two games played back-to-back at the same location—are on the NZC calendar, as part of an effort “to address both the needs of different audiences and enhance the efficiency of its playing programme in an era of climate change awareness,” according to the organisation.

In venues with lights, we’ve been able to book a number of back-to-back night matches and day matches to offer good opportunities for both families and adult clients, respectively. We believe this is beneficial for the game, said NZC Chief Executive David White.

It’s a policy that supports our need to promote energy efficiency as well as our obligation as a sports organisation to uphold moral standards in light of the difficulties posed by climate change today.
