Newdaddy Entertainment Updates
In celebration of Janmashtami, some of COLORS‘ beloved actors shared their personal connections to Lord Krishna and the joyous memories associated with this special festival.
Kritika Singh Yadav, who plays Pratiksha in ‘Pyaar Ke Saath Vachan Dharampatnii’, fondly remembers participating in school skits as Radha during her childhood. She values the teachings of Lord Krishna, highlighting his lessons on righteousness and compassion. Kritika’s family has instilled in her the values of love, humility, and selflessness that Lord Krishna embodied. As a devoted Krishna follower, she finds solace and inspiration in his teachings, guiding her towards a life filled with love and virtue.
Puneet Vasishtha, known for his role as Narad in ‘Shiv Shakti – Tap Tyag Tandav’, shares that Janmashtami is one of his favourite festivals. He recalls his childhood days when he and his friends would raise funds for the traditional “dahi handi” celebrations in their society. The thrill of forming a human pyramid to break the “matki” (clay pot) and their annual midnight visit to the nearby Iskon Temple to rock Lord Krishna’s cradle remains close to his heart. Puneet hopes that Janmashtami will bring people closer in devotion, promoting unity and spreading Lord Krishna’s blessings.
Raghav Thakur, who portrays Krishna in ‘Suhaagan’, cherishes Janmashtami for its nostalgic value. He fondly remembers dressing up as little Krishna, the vibrant “matki phod” competitions, and the melodious bhajans that filled the air during the celebrations. To him, Janmashtami is not just a festival; it’s a beautiful reminder of the innocence, joy, and togetherness of childhood celebrations with family and friends. Interestingly, his character’s name is also Krishna in the show, and his entry was set to the song ‘Woh Kisna Hai’, a memory he will treasure forever.
As Janmashtami unfolds, these actors from COLORS‘ shows remind us of the beauty of this festival, the joy it brings, and the spiritual inspiration derived from Lord Krishna’s teachings. Stay tuned to COLORS for more updates on this auspicious occasion.
