“Udan Chhoo” Movie Review: The Plot

Rekindle chronicles the emotional trip of two souls—Deven Bhojani as “Hashmukh” and Prachee Shah Pandya as “Pankor”—who once had an intense, deep love. Their paths diverged, and over time their love subtly disappeared from the scene as they negotiated the demands of daily life—jobs, business kids, and more prominently their personal challenges. But destiny has a way of resurrecting what was never really lost.

The concept and the climax are somewhat similar to another Gujarati movie, “ Hu Ane Tu”.

“Udan Chhoo” Movie Review: The Storyline

The film “Udan Chhoo” revolves on Hardik (Arjav Trivedi) and Krina (Aarhi Patel), both reluctant to wed and always seeking means of rejection for offers. Their parents are resolved to get them settled despite their opposition; the hitch is that both are in love with someone else. Their parents sadly object to their decisions.

Hashmukh, Krina’s father, sets up a blind meeting for Krina, Hardik, and his mother Pankor. The major narrative starts here at this meeting.

I would not reveal more about it as it will be a spoiler.  The movie moves right into the narrative without waiting for slow character-building.

“Udan Chhoo” Movie Review: The Acting

Deven Bhojani:  As Krina’s father Hashmukh, Deven Bhojani gives an outstanding performance, highlighting his flexibility and perfect comic timing. Renowned for his ability to strike a mix between comedy and authenticity, Bhojani gives his character complexity. He gives the tough but loving father—who is driven to see his daughter settled—a little bit of warmth and sensitivity, so balancing the part. His voice and gestures really capture the core of a conventional yet well-meaning parent.

Prachee Shah Pandya:  Conversely, Prachee Shah Pandya (playing Hardik’s mother, Pankor) is similarly remarkable. Her depiction of a devoted, loving mother who also wants her son married is subtle and realistic. Having Shah on film gives the character elegance and appeal. Her character is realistic and emotionally interesting since she deftly balances a strong will with motherly concern.

Aarohi Patel:  As Krina, the young daughter torn between her family responsibilities and personal wants, Aarohi Patel excels. Aarohi gives the part a fresh vitality and accurately depicts a modern young woman who is autonomous but limited by conventional expectations. Krina is approachable to viewers because of her natural appeal and emotive performance. Aarohi gives her character layers of wit, humour, and complexity while brilliantly capturing the emotional battle of a girl who loves someone else but is compelled to negotiate the demands of marriage.

Aarjav Trivedi: As Hardik, Aarjav Trivedi gives a just as captivating performance. Like Krina, he is a reluctant young man attempting to avoid the marriage his family has planned. Hardik is portrayed by Aarjav as delightfully combining charm, humour, and defiance. His comic timing is flawless, and he captures the annoyance and awkwardness of being caught in a situation he does not wish to be in. Aarjav seems to be performing effortlessly, and his relationship with Aarohi Patel gives the narrative amazing dynamism. Their roles are both interesting and captivating since, together, they give the movie young vitality and realism.

“Udan Chhoo” Movie Review: The Writing and The Direction

As I said, the concept and climax are a little bit similar to another Gujarati Movie “Hu Ane Tu”.  However, there is much uniqueness in the story and the storytelling.  The script is very tight and has no space to waste time.  The story keeps you engaged throughout and will never make you feel bored during its entirety.

The direction is okay and has nothing new as most of the shots are regular shots taken and not much creativity is displayed, nor is it needed.

“Udan Chhoo” Movie Review: News Daddy’s Opinion:

In the conclusion of Udan Chhoo, Hardik and Krina, after a series of humorous and heartfelt twists, finally confront their true feelings and the expectations of their families. Through misunderstandings, emotional moments, and personal growth, both families come to realise that love cannot be forced.
