The Gujraj Foundation Gujarat Rajasthan Maitri Sangh is all set to host a grand five-day fair from March 29 to April 2 at Ahmedabad Haat, Vastrapur. This unique event aims to celebrate the foundation day of Rajasthan spectacularly, showcasing the rich culture and traditions of the region. With an expected footfall of around 20 to 25 attendees, the fair promises to be a vibrant celebration of unity and diversity.
The Significance of Rajasthan Foundation Day
For the Marwari community, the festival of Holi holds immense significance, akin to a New Year celebration. Adding to the festive fervor is the Rajasthan Foundation Day, marking the establishment of the state. In commemoration of these occasions, the Gujraj Foundation Gujarat Rajasthan Maitri Sangh has curated a series of events and programs, spanning five days, to bring people together across communities.
A Showcase of Rajasthan’s Craftsmanship
One of the highlights of the fair will be the array of stalls featuring products from Rajasthan. These stalls, numbering around 100, will not only exhibit but also sell various handicrafts and products, providing employment opportunities to women and artisans. From intricately designed textiles to exquisite jewelry, visitors will have the chance to witness the craftsmanship that Rajasthan is renowned for.
Celebrating Diversity
The cultural program scheduled for March 30 promises to be a feast for the senses, featuring performances by renowned artists from Rajasthan. From the mesmerizing Ghumar Dance to the energetic Ghair Nritya and vibrant Folk Dances, attendees will be treated to a spectacle of traditional Rajasthani art forms. Renowned artists like Rajavardhan Suthar and his team will grace the stage, captivating the audience with their talent and skill.
