Diving into the World of Terracotta
This year, STUDIES took on a new dimension with the introduction of a unique three-day ‘Terracotta Clay Mural Workshop.’ Led by the skilled guidance of Mr. Anjani Kumar, a Ceramic Artist and NID Alumnus, participants delved into the intricate world of terracotta craftsmanship. It marked a pioneering experience for all involved, blending tradition with contemporary artistry.
Crafting Masterpieces
Over three days, budding artisans immersed themselves in the process of creating clay mural artworks. Under the expert mentorship of Mr. Kumar, they honed their skills, learning the nuances of terracotta sculpting and design. Each piece bore the imprint of creativity and dedication, reflecting the passion of its creator.
The Showcase of Talent
Following the workshop, the fruits of labor found a home at the Somalal Shah Gallery, housed within the illustrious Ravi Shankar Raval Kala Bhavan. Thirty exquisite clay mural artworks, born from the hands of the participants, adorned the gallery walls, a testament to their craftsmanship and artistic vision.
