Vadilal International Gujarati Film Festival Ends with Awards and Fun in Chicago

In Chicago, USA, from July 7th to 9th, 2023, a special event called the Vadilal International Gujarati Film Festival (IGFF) happened. It was a big deal, and here’s what went down:
What Happened:
- The festival was organized by some important people like Hi INDIA, Hemant Brahmbhatt, and Kaushal Acharya, who are the founders of IGFF.
- More than 3,000 people came to watch the festival, and they loved it!
- Many important folks from Chicago and the Gujarati film world were there. Some of them were S. J. Chiro, Gopi Desai, Jay Vasavada, Mayank Chaaya, Malhar Thakar, Atul Purohit, Darshan Pandya, Niraj Joshi, Milap Singh Jadeja, and Shourya Patel.
The End of the Festival:
- On July 9th, the festival came to a close with an awards ceremony for the best films.
- They also had a cool musical performance by Atul Purohit, who’s a famous Gujarati singer.
- After that, everyone had a fancy dinner and lots of fun.
What They Said:
- Jay Vasavada, one of the judges, talked about how Gujarati films have grown over time.
- Malhar Thakar, a famous actor, said that through Gujarati films, we can show our culture and language to young people. He liked how IGFF does this every year.
So, the Vadilal International Gujarati Film Festival in Chicago was a big success! They celebrated Gujarati films and culture, and it was lots of fun.
