The EME School, Vadodara, recently hosted a two-day seminar on ‘Technology in Armament and Optronics’ on 13 and 14 February 2025. The seminar brought together top military officials, defence scientists, and industry leaders to discuss the latest advancements in weaponry and optical technology.

The event was designed to strengthen India’s defence capabilities by encouraging innovation, collaboration, and self-reliance. With the ongoing transformation in warfare technology, discussions revolved around future-ready weapons, smart surveillance, and advanced imaging systems.

On the first day, a keynote address was delivered by Lt. Gen. Devendra Sharma, PVSM, AVSM, SM, GOC-in-C, ARTRAC, who emphasized the importance of technological self-reliance in modern warfare.

The second day featured a plenary address by Lt. Gen. Vineet Gaur, PVSM, AVSM, Director General of Capability Development, who highlighted global advancements in armament and optronics and how India can adapt to these changes.
