Veteran Lyricist Dev Kohli Passes Away at 80
Dev Kohli, a famous writer of words for Hindi movies, left us at the age of 80 on August 26. His funeral will happen today, starting at 2 pm, at his home in Jupiter Apartment, Mumbai. Afterward, by 6 p.m., the final ceremonies will be held at Oshiwara Crematorium in Jogeshwari West.
Saying Goodbye to Dev Kohli, the Skilled Lyricist Many of his friends from the entertainment industry, like Anu Malik, Anand Raaj Anand, Uttam Singh, and more, are expected to come and show their respect for the person who wrote the famous song “Pehla Pehla Pyaar.”
Dev Kohli was born in Rawalpindi, Pakistan. He wrote almost 100 songs for Hindi films. Some of the songs he created that became really popular are “Yeh Kaali Kaali Ankhein,” “Maaye Ni Maaye,” “Aate Jaate Hanste Gaate,” and many others.
His journey as a writer began in the year 1969 with a movie called “Gunda.”
